Life and Shares
Thinking about investing? Chances are, you’re already playing the game. This new podcast unpicks the share market so you can better understand how the system works.
“I generally find the share market intimidating and hard to navigate but this podcast broke it down in a really fun and accessible way.”
— Listener review from Apple Podcasts
THE BRIEF
Even if you don’t actively invest, chances are that you are already connected to the share market; as a taxpayer in Australia, a significant amount of your superannuation is already being traded.
With this in mind, we needed to assemble expert guests from different industries to help listeners unpack some of the ethical issues inherent in Australia’s share market.
WHAT WE DID
Life and Shares was the second season in the ‘Life and …’ series that Audiocraft produced for The Ethics Centre.
The tone and format for Season 1 (Life and Debt) informed Season 2, but we also wanted to change things up a bit. We wanted to elevate the sound design, pull back on the number of guests but drill down deeper with each of them, and rely more on host narration to break down complex topics.
Cris (host) and Marcus (producer) worked closely at every stage of production from developing the guest list, to episode themes, to research and recording.
