Everyday AI
CSIRO takes us beyond sensational headlines and Hollywood representations to bring AI back to reality.
“Really enjoyable discussions on AI. Demystifying what it is and isn’t in layman’s terms through stories and examples! Highly recommend both for AI professionals and those new to AI”

THE BRIEF
CSIRO wanted to create a six-part series about AI in the everyday. The aim was to engage Australians by interweaving personal stories and interviews with experts from CSIRO and around the world. Hosted by AI expert and Director of CSIRO’s Data61 Jon Whittle, each episode explores a unique, ‘everyday’ theme.
Everyday AI shows this technology is not science fiction but very much a reality shaping our day-to-day lives. Jon uses his industry expertise to showcase how AI is used in creative industries, health, conservation, sports and space
WHAT WE DID
Audiocraft worked with the CSIRO team to refine and research six episode topics, source guest talent, and build story ideas. We oversaw remote recording interviews between host and national or international guests, and remotely recorded other guests when the host was unavailable.
Our producer collected additional sound material and field recordings, including music stems from a pop album created with AI systems, the sounds of an AI-generated audio system for blind and vision impaired tennis audiences, the MacCaulay Library’s bird recordings used to train computer-vision technology, NASA recordings from outer space, and archival documentary, film, and television audio.
